Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry
This ministry collects your change for local ministries. Currently contributions will go to the Pittsfield Youth Workshop and the Pittsfield Food Pantry. The collection jar is at the rear of the sanctuary
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry, through the First Congregational Church will be reopening on Tuesday, June 2nd with new guidelines in place for the time being. We will be open from 9-11 AM and ask that you please call 435-7471 when you arrive in the parking lot. Clients will not be able to enter the Church at this time. Weather permitting, we will place your diapers and wipes in a bag with your name attached and place it on a table in the parking lot. If the weather is not permitting, we will bring the product to you. Please use the parking lot off Chestnut Street. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate through this pandemic.
The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry is normally open the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9-11 AM. Each family is eligible to come for the supplemental diapers once per opening. (Twice a month)
each family receives 1 set of diapers/product per child in need and 1 package of wipes per family.
We currently have NB through size 6 diapers, along with pull-ups and overnights.
Anyone that needs help with their diapering needs is eligible to come to us once per opening. Being a supplemental program, we are here to assist, but not able to provide enough product for the 2 weeks.
If the Pittsfield School district has a delay or is canceled due to weather, we are closed for the day and will resume the following scheduled day. We are also closed the week of July 4th.
Please use the Chestnut Street entrance on opening mornings.
The Food Pantry is always in need of soups, peanut butter, jelly, toilet tissue, bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Donations can be placed in the wooden box in the vestry. Thank you for your continued support of this local ministry. Ω Ω
Dorcas Guild Projects for 2021
The Dorcas Guild has started two projects for 2021 -- “Dress-a-Girl” skirts (for older girls or moms) and blankets for Project Linus. Patterns and information are available in the vestry if you are interested in supporting either or both of these two worthwhile projects. The skirt project has a goal of 100 skirts and will end June 1. Project Linus will end October 12. Corine Miller has made up some “skirt kits” for use in sewing the skirts. Contact her for a kit.Ω
