There is nothing like a hot bowl of soup to warm the tummy and friends to lift the spirits on a cold night. “Soup’s On” offers that opportunity. It is a time where church and community members can gather for a meal and fellowship. Every fourth Monday through the winter from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. your choice of two hearty soups, bread and beverage will be served. The only cost is your love offering. Come and join in on the good food and fun. Next event: October 29, 5:30-6:30. Ω
The Pennies from Heaven ministry collects your change for local ministries. Your contributions will go to the Pittsfield Youth Workshop and Pittsfield Food Pantry. I deeply appreciate your support and pennies. Thank you so much. Ruth Strickhart
The Dorcus Guild's Project for 2018
The Dorcas Guild's project for 2018 is creating carryalls or duffel bags for foster children. Often children are moved to homes quickly with little to call their own. The Guild is seeking to make these bags and then equipping them with age appropriate items like toiletries, books, small blankets, etc. These sacks can be any size froma normal tote size to a pillow case size with a drawstring or tie. If you would like to help in any way, please contact Gailann Newton or Nella Hobson.
